EV charging.

About Bolt EV

Built by the people who actually solved EV payments.

Bolt EV is the payments infrastructure for EV charging, from Optechain. We've spent years in the hardest parts of this problem — multi-country rollouts, fiscalization, the cases nobody else wants to own — and turned them into infrastructure any operator can plug into.

Built to standard

We don't just run to the standard. We help write it.

A Full-Contributor seat on the Open Charge Alliance — the body behind OCPI — means we're in the room when the rules change, not reading about them afterward. It's a governance role, not a logo wall: the operators we serve get a payments layer that's early to every revision, never late.

Why we exist

Paying for a charge shouldn't require building a payments company.

AFIR made ad-hoc card payments mandatory, but making them actually work means wiring together terminals, acquirers, charging networks, and invoicing — worlds that were never built to talk. Every operator was rebuilding the same wheel, then re-maintaining it forever. We built the layer that solves it once, for the whole market — neutral on terminal, acquirer, and CSMS.

EV charging at national scale.

Proven at national scale

Proven at national scale.

Multi-country, ad-hoc payments running in production, country-specific fiscalization handled — with nothing ripped out of the operator's stack.

What makes us different

Depth, not features

Multi-country, AFIR, country-specific fiscalization & tax-authority interconnect, reconciliation, and the cases nobody likes to talk about — solved in production with national-scale charging networks.

Neutral by design

Any terminal, any acquirer, any CSMS. You keep your stack and your money — your bank stays your bank.
